Jake Wexler
Jake Wexler is a 45 years old podiatrist. Jake is a bookie. He graduated from Magutte. He is married for 22 years. His wife is Gracie Windkloppel, and his two daughter are Angela and Turtle Wexler. They all live in Sunset Towers, apartment 3D. When he was having the tour of Sunset Towers he was less enthusiastic then his wife. He didn't want to live their but, his wife insisted. He asked a lot of questions to Barney Northrup wondering how he knew it was less expensive then the other apartments. Jake didn't want to go to the reading of the will because, he has no relation ship with Sam Westing, he was a Jew. His wife knew him as one of her rich uncles. He refused but, no matter. Jake needed a sense of humor with that social-climbing wife. He call his wife, Gracie. Grace thinks her name is ugly. Jake calls Angela, Angie-pie. Jake has the office in Sunset Towers. His partner in the Westing games was Madame Hoo, a cook. Jake Wexler and Madame Hoo's clues were: Of America And God Above Neither of them knew the answer, so, Jake had to gamble a long shot. When they were to tell their answer, Madame Hoo said, "boom." They didn't win thought, they had a nice try. Jake did know his wife's clues but, it didn't make sense with his. He helped Grace with her clues, to find their answer, E.J Plum. After going to Shin Hoo's restaurant once, Jake would always go there to get his favorite dish. Jake has feelings for his daughters. Grace doesn't like Turtle but, Jake pitys her. After a while, Grace figured out that people would think, "poor Jake, good guy, everybody's friend, married to unpitty would-be decorator." Jake's position in the Westing Game was listed as, standing or sitting when not lying down. The second time he was positioned as a bookie. Jake really didn't want to be part of the Westing situation because he was a Jew. He didn't really care about his clues either, he gambled on a long shot. He told Madame Hoo to say something, he tried to figure it out but, as the Judge thinks, it mad no sense.
Later Years
Jake Wexler had given up on his private practices now that he has been appointed consultants to the governor's inquiry panel of state lottery, thanks to Judge Fords recommendations. Grace was proud of him. Everybody in his family was doing fine. Eventually, Jake became the chairman of the State Gambling Commission. He had a very good relationship with Sunny, Madame Hoo now. Later, he became the state crime commissioner. Sandy says," he is well qualified for the job."
